Leading ProPharmace on its journey to becoming a trusted name in pharmacy education and training, has been immensely rewarding. I firmly believe that meaningful training has the power to drive real change; not just for individuals, but for entire organisations. Our Story

ProPharmace was founded by Noma Al-Ahmad, who, through her own challenging experiences, recognised a significant gap in pharmacy education. Driven by a desire to transform the training experience for others, she established what would soon become a beacon of innovation in the field.Join us as we journey through the key milestones of ProPharmace, illustrating how Noma’s response to adversity ignited a transformative movement establishing ProPharmace us as a leading force in shaping the future of pharmacy education.

2006

The Start of Something Special

In 2006, ProPharmace launched the first community pharmacy pre-registration training programme in London as an essential part of the journey to becoming a pharmacist. We had a bold ambition to provide trainees with the best start to their careers. Little did we know this was just the beginning!

2008

Rapid Growth and a Growing Reputation

By 2008, our programmes had expanded to 7 cities and quickly became the topchoice for trainees. With a robust training framework and an unwavering commitment to raising the standards of pre-registration training, ProPharmace set the gold standard for inspiring and guiding the next generation of pharmacists to launch successful pharmacy careers.

2010

ProPharmace GPhC Mock Assessments—A Game Changer

In 2010, we introduced our GPhC mock assessments. These assessments didn’t justtest knowledge; they offered comprehensive exam preparation with expertly crafted practice questions and thorough exam review days. These became an instant hit anda must-have tool for every pharmacy trainee preparing for their GPhC exam.

Education & Training Partnerships—Your Go-To for Custom Pharmacy Programmes

With our reputation for top-notch pharmacy training, it wasn’t long before organisations started knocking on our door! They wanted a bit of the ProPharmace magic for themselves, and we were more than ready to deliver. From designing customised educational programmes and engaging content to building resources that got results, we brought our pharmacy expertise to the table.

2016

Strategic Partnerships with Leading Universities

In 2016, ProPharmace took a big step forward by teaming up with leading universities to deliver training programmes that bridged the gap between undergraduate programmes and foundation training. Our first collaboration with King's College London set the stage, showcasing the academic rigour and strength of our education and training resources and delivery. Today, our foundation training programmes, Oriel masterclasses, and clinical placement programmes are offered across multiple universities, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted academic partner.

2017

Raising the Bar for Supervisors

In 2017, we embarked on a mission to transform the quality of supervision across training placements. We travelled across the UK, delivering our programme with a clear goal: to equip tutors with the skills and resources needed to effectively guide and support trainees. Through this initiative, we set a new standard for supervision in pharmacy training.

2019

Advancing Pharmacy Education Through Digital Learning

In 2019, when COVID-19 struck, ProPharmace swiftly transitioned online, leveraging our digital expertise. We pioneered virtual mock assessments, maintaining high-quality preparation for trainees and enabling continued development. This rapid adaptation ensured trainee success during challenging times and expanded our global reach.

2021

Transformative Partnerships—HEE Partnership

In 2021, ProPharmace secured the Health Education England contract to deliver Educational Supervisor Training. These programmes were highly successful and played a vital role in developing skilled educational supervisors, including both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, equipping them with the expertise to support trainees effectively.

In 2017, with the introduction of the Oriel national recruitment system, ProPharmace launched a free and accessible national Oriel programme to support pharmacy students in navigating this new process. This popular programme supported students from every pharmacy school across the UK to successfully pass Oriel assessments and secure training placements.

In 2023, ProPharmace became a national educational partner for NHS England, marking a new chapter in our commitment to advancing pharmacy education across the UK. ProPharmace is proud to be supporting NHS England’s strategic goal to expand access to prescribing supervision and contribute to building a skilled and supportive pharmacy workforce, that is well-prepared to mentor the new generation of in dependent prescribers from 2026 onwards.

2024

Launching PharmAssess Transforming Pharmaceutical Calculations Teaching

In 2024, ProPharmace introduced PharmAssess, an innovative tool designed to revolutionise the teaching and assessment of pharmaceutical calculations. The launch of PharmAssess marks another bold step in ProPharmace's mission to advance pharmacy education while utilising digital learning solutions.
